Brand DNA
Brand DNA is the root of the whole product. It captures who the brand is — positioning, audience, tone, and what it offers — so every campaign you build stays consistent without re-explaining the brand each time.
Analyse a source
When you add a brand, paste a website URL or brand material. The analyzer reads the source and fills in as much of the brand's DNA as it honestly can, then hands it to you to review.
Review what MarkieX found
The review screen shows 19 fields, each tagged with how certain MarkieX is about it:
- Confirmed — your source said it outright, or you typed it yourself. Hidden by default.
- Inferred — MarkieX worked it out from your material. Worth a glance; editing it marks it confirmed.
- Needs your input — nothing in your sources covered it. MarkieX asks rather than inventing an answer.
- Your choice — how bold or conservative the brand may be. Always yours to pick, never guessed.
The screen opens on Needs attention, showing only what still wants a look. Switch to All to see every field. Edits save on their own as you type, and the completion figure updates live.
ℹ️
Fields marked ★ are required before you can confirm. If some genuinely don't apply yet — a logo or footer rule you don't have — you can save the gaps and continue; they're flagged, not silently approved, and you can fill them in later.
Why it matters
- Every campaign's ideas, deep dive, key visuals, and materials are grounded in the brand.
- Guardrails and tone carry through automatically — no repeating yourself per campaign.
- You can keep multiple brands in one workspace and pick one per campaign.
💡
Set up your brand before your first campaign — the wizard works without it, but the output is far sharper with a confirmed Brand DNA behind it.
